Patsy's 80th Birthday

We went to Arizona for Mom's 80th birthday.

Mary's State Finals

In the video above, Mary got 13th in the state in the 50-meter backstroke. (That's her in the far left lane.) She also got 19th and 21st in two other events.

Mary's Swim Meet

Mary had a swim meet Friday and Saturday and she qualified for state in 3 different events. I don't have a video of those particular events, but the video above is an event she came very close to qualifying for. Although she won her heat (Lane 4), Mary's time wasn't quite what she needed to qualify. This video, however, shows her skill at all 4 strokes. While Mary competed, Katie was climbing the wall -- literally. The rec center where Mary competed had a lot of activities to occupy kids. That's Katie in the pink -- the highest one in the picture.

Nikkail's Recital

We went to Nikkail's recital on Thursday. This video is the first portion of her performance.

Racquetball With Joseph

I started playing racquetball with Joseph last week. I'm getting old and stiff, so I don't know if I'll be able to play with all my grandsons.

Snow

It's been a mild winter. We only had a few small snow storms until March 2nd -- then we got 5 inches. Previous to that, we got several more dump truck loads of dirt, but they didn't spread it, so the kids had fun sledding down the hills. I cut down all the trees on the back half of the property (except the one next to the sewer manhole) so we can eventually turn it all into pasture.
