Orange Lilies

Not many of Alice's daffodils, etc., survived the move very well, but her orange lilies did.

Bike Race

Joseph (1st video), Draeden (2nd video), and Katie (3rd video) were in a bike race on Memorial Day.  Liam (4th video) joined the fun afterwards.  Joseph got 9th in his age group.  Draeden and Katie are in the same age group -- Draeden (sitting) got 4th and Katie got 6th.

Kelsey's Dance Recital

 

Last Friday was Kelsey's dance recital.  Of course, she was the star of the show.

Liam's Birthday

Last Thursday was Liam's birthday activity.  He wanted to go to McDonald's Playland and he wanted Chase to go with him.

Mary's Concert

On Thursday, Mary had a concert at her school (South Jordan Jr. High).  Then Friday morning, she went to the dentist and got her braces removed.

The Geese Are Growing

Before & After the Race

Before the race, Michael had Katie and Joseph "pre-ride" the course to decide whether or not they wanted to enter the race.  They decided not to race because of the difficult spot in the first two videos.  (Draeden just pushed his bike up that hill.)  But, it seems they all had the most fun just riding around "for fun" afterwards (as shown in the third video).  I even took a minute to photograph the local scenery.

Mountain Bike Racing

Draeden got 6th place in his race (9 and under).  I took some video on my other camera, but I haven't finalized it yet.  Michael got 4th and Mark got 3rd.

Nikkail's Concert

Nikkail had a solo in one of the pieces they performed and this is an excerpt of that.  Alice got a pretty good recording (except for the annoying silhouette of the lady in front of her).  Nikkail is "first chair" and the "Concert Master," so everyone tunes their instruments to hers.

Jada's School Program

Jada's school program and Nikkail's school concert occurred at exactly the same time on exactly the same day, so I went to Ogden and recorded Jada's program and Alice went to Nikkail's concert.  This is a small excerpt from my recording and a picture of Jada that Trent took afterwards.

Goslings

 Our neighbor to the north has built a nest (Picture 1) to keep the foxes away from the geese as they sit on their eggs.  He says the same goose has been laying her eggs there for years.  This year, we watched her sitting on the eggs and have been watching the babies grow.  It's been hard to get a good picture, so I finally took one as close as I could (Picture 2), then zoomed in with iPhoto (Picture 3).

Joseph's Baseball

We went to one of Joseph's baseball games.  He batted twice and got a single (which I took a video of with my other camera) and a walk.  I've included 2 videos of his base running.
